Business mogul, Chief Linus Obi, on Thursday said it was not surprising that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other notable leaders left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) because the party is dead.

He praised the governor for his understanding of the emerging political scenario in the entire country.
Obi also praised Oborevwori for joining hands with President Bola Tinubu to transform Nigeria.
He urged old and new members of the party to allow the spirit of love and cooperation prevail in Delta APC.
The statement issued in Lagos emphasized the poor state of health of the PDP in the country, Oborevwori’s mature style of leadership, monumental achievements and judicious utilization of resources in Delta State.
Obi said the defection of Oborevwori has set a new tone for the actualization of the MORE objectives .
He praised Oborevwori for focusing on meaningful development projects and impacting all sectors.
Particularly, Obi applauded Oborevwori for building roads, modernizing education, improving education and beautifying the state.
He also commended the governor for improving healthcare and ensuring prudence in the management of the state’s economy.
The Lagos business man advised Oborevwori to lay a solid structure, work closely with the party’s national leadership to reconstitute party executives, reconcile all warring factions and reposition the party towards 2027.
He expressed hope that Oborevwori would accommodate people willing to work for the progress of the state.
He also stressed the need for Deltans to continue to work for the peace, unity and progress of the state.
