Senate President condoles with Ogun State Governor over father’s death

The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has sent his heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Dapo Abiodun, over the death of his father, Dr. Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun.

Lawan commiserated with the entire Abiodun Family, government and people of Ogun State over the demise of the educationist who made indelible contributions to manpower development in Nigeria.

“The Abiodun Family can take solace in the fact that its Partriarch lived an impactful life as evident in his own great accomplishments and those of his children.

“Baba Teacher” will continue to live in the hearts of the numerous people to whom he imparted knowledge as a school teacher,” Lawan said.

The Senate President prayed God to grant Papa eternal rest and the family fortitude to bear his loss.

Senate President felicitates with DSP Ovie Omo-Agege @58

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan felicitates with the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, on the auspicious occasion of his 58th birthday on Tuesday.

Lawan joins other Distinguished Senators, his family members, friends and political associates in celebrating the joyous occasion with his deputy whom he describes as “a worthy son of Urhobo and great representative of Delta Central Senatorial District.”

“Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has been an invaluable colleague and dependable ally in the leadership of the august assembly of the ninth Senate.

“This has enabled us to work in harmony between us and with fellow Distinguished Senators who had graciously given us the mandate to pilot the affairs of the Upper Chamber.

“I am confident that we will continue to work together as we have done so far to enhance the delivery of the promises contained in the Legislative Agenda that we published at the inception of the ninth Senate in 2019,” Lawan said.

The Senate President wishes the Obarisi of Urhobo land many more years of good health, happiness and continued impactful service to his fatherland Nigeria.
