HENRY OVIE EBIRERI: GIFTED MEDIA STRATEGIST, CONSULTANT AND POLITICAL TRAFFIC CONTROLLER

Born on December 31, 1968 in Eku, Midwestern Nigeria, Henry Ovie Ebireri received his early education in Sapele, Aghalokpe, Eku and Asaba.

In 1992, Ebireri received bachelor’s degree at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

At first, he worked as a high school government and politics teacher, political reporter, political editor, group news editor and deputy daily editor.

The classic political retailer, good man, target finder, radio host and public commentator served as senior aide, speech writer and spokesman for some top government functionaries in Nigeria.

Known for fierce political dedication and keen sense of political motivation, Ebireri and his friend in 2014 started MediaGate, a global political communication, marketing and management firm.

A devout Christian, of Okpe origin, Ebireri was hired as a media consultant in 2013, 2017 and 2020 to market some government officials, candidates and political parties,

The one to one relationships expert holds Diploma in English and M.Sc in Political Science from the University of Lagos as well as a postgraduate diploma in Journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.

A journalist of sharp perception and organisational ability, Ebireri received training in radio and television production, broadcast news writing and reporting, treasury management, financial management, investigative reporting, radio presentation, judicial reporting, creative writing, print journalism, basic computing, sales and marketing, credit management and debt recovery, advertising and public relations.

The handsome newspaperman and tough political operative spent years developing promotional material, promoting programmes, drafting messages, serving as media point of contact, maintaining online presence and getting top media coverage in Nigeria and abroad for several top government functionaries and private sector players.

Today, the gentleman from Sapele is paying close attention to what motivates others, working for the interests and ambitions of others, building political movements, knocking on doors, putting together grassroots organization needed to win primaries and party caucuses, mapping paths to the hearts and minds of those critical to the client’s objectives, building crowds, creating strong loyalties and network of stakeholders.
